Powerful LinkedIn Strategy (Shortened)

Please remember that you are reading this because

  1. You want to increase sales in your business, or
  2. 2. You want to get potential clients using your LinkedIn account

Below this text is the flow of the game plan or the marketing automation plan that most knowledgeable LinkedIn users do in LinkedIn.

Your summary>Send Invitation>Thank You Message> Status Updates>Coffee Meeting (8)>Follow up CM (2)

Okay. I know this seems not very self-explanatory. Please read explanation below.

Your Summary

It is very important that you set this up first, in a way that you can get the attention of your clients/customers.

Note: Just like an employer reads a resume, you will only have a chance of 6 seconds for you to catch the attention of your potential clients/customers.

If you are not able to set this up very well, you can’t have them.

Send Invitation

In sending invitation, you should not use the default message that LinkedIn has provided for you.

linkein default message

Thank You Message

When the new contact finally responds to your request for connection, you have to send a thank you message.

I’ve got my scripts for that. It;s pretty simple and it’s one of the responsible things to do. It may help you look more professional as well.

Status Update

Once you’ve connected. you’ll have to do status updates. It’s like what you do in Facebook. You do FB posts about the things you do.

Coffee Meeting

After posting regular updates for a certain period of time, you should set up a coffee meeting.

In doing this, you should send a message inviting the client to have a coffee meeting with you. It can be physical meeting in Starbucks or any cafe near your location, but you can also set a schedule for a Skype chat or Google hangout if meeting each other personally is impossible for you to do because of distance.

Follow Up Message

Two weeks after sending the message about the coffee meeting, if you don’t get a response, then you’ll send a follow up message regarding the coffee meeting.

So this is what my group call the game behind the game of what you should do in LinkedIn and how you should connect with customers.

Going back to how important the summary is…

I am giving emphasis on this because every time you send an invitation, thank you message, coffee meeting or post status updates, the potential client/customer will go straight to the summary. If they life what they see, then you have a potential client/customer.

It’s as simple as that.

Hi. Do you want to connect to as many people as you want on LinkedIn and you want to be different and you wnat to look more professional? You should not use the default message.

linkein default message

MUST-HAVE #1 Name

Example:

Howdy, <First Name>.

Hello, <First Name>.

Hi, <First Name>.

Hope you are well./Hope all is well.

MUST-HAVE #2 Title and Company

This is a form of telling them that you have looked upon their profile and that you made an effort to have a                    look rather than just letting them read a simple message.

Example: I came across your profile and noticed you’re the <title> of <company>.

MUST-HAVE #3 Human Touch Point (HTP)

Never ever connect unless you have no Human Touch Point/ Common (Person or Group)

People in common are the most powerful HTP in LinkedIn.

Second is a group.

Example:

And we know <Julie Ann> in common.chuck pndell

MUST-HAVE #4 Reasons for Connecting

>LinkedIn is for Networking; hence, you want to increase your LinkedIn network.

Example: For networking purposes. I’d like to invite you to my business network in LinkedIn.

Regards,

<Your Name>

That’s as easy as it.

I also work for a company that sells sports medicine products like kinesiology tapes.

This is the summary of what I did for the company.

>Build Shopify site (Main assignment)

>Web Content Editing (Main Assignment)

>Blogging

>Facebook Marketing

>Pinterest Marketing

>Graphic Design for Social Media

This was a fixed job so my contract ended after two months.

It was fun. 😉

Videospot

videospot

When I was working as a regular employee at La Salle University, I did part-time job for this video marketing company in San Francisco, California.

This is the summary of tasks that was given to me:

>Facebook posts using Hootsuite

> transcription and data entry

> encoding

> administrative services

> online research

> keyword research

> blog optimization using specific keywords

> uploading and video optimization

> compilation of Gmail contacts

> Youtube video annotations

> Yoast plug-in

> email handling

My work here started June 2013  and ended August 2014.

Honestly, I could not handle part-time job anymore because of the demand of my existing day-time job that time, so I had to let go of Videospot.

Later on, I got back into working online when I resigned from my job to pursue working at home.

Truly Rich Club Affiliate Program

trc

Truly Rich Club (TRC) is a program created by Bro. Bo Sanchez with the goal of making its members truly wealthy financially and spiritually at the same time. TRC Members are taught how to invest in the stock Market and are taught how to discover and utilize their talents, how to monetize their passion, and how to manage their finances.

Summary of what I did for this club.

> Youtube marketing

> Facebook marketing

> Pinterest marketing

> Blogging

> Email marketing using a CRM called Mailchimp and Benchmark Email

> Video Editing/enhancing

> Curating and Transcribing videos

> WordPress building

> Forum Posting

> Keyword Research

> Graphic Design

On the year 2014, I did affiliate marketing for Bo Sanchez’ Truly Rich Club. I did it part-time and I almost did everything from Youtube marketing, email marketing, Pinterest and Facebook. I did all of that.

This is the screenshot of the Youtube channel that I created.

In case you are asking whether I stole these videos or not, Bo Sanchez is not restricting anyone to download and upload these videos as long as we follow his rules as an affiliate. 🙂

All of the thumbnails were created using Canva. Here are samples of my graphic works.

After a few of months of posting these, Analytics showed me that viewers only get to watch a few minutes of these videos, so I solved that by cutting each video into chunks.

analytics

As we all know, one of the factor why this happens is that people might have a very short attention span. Bo Sanchez’ videos are as usually as long as 1 and a half hours so I decided to cut it into tidbits. 🙂

But before I cut it into shorter videos, I transcribed some videos first and from there I thought of what title is best to catch viewer’s attention. I also made descriptions for each video so as to make each unique as possible. And using basic Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and Adobe After Effects CS6, I edited these videos.

Here is a sample video that was taken from a much longer video. There are many of these videos, you can visit the channel should you want to watch others. Here is the link. 😉

Here is the Pinterest business account I created.

And here is the Facebook page I made which garnered a lot of fans and likes from many parts of the world.

So far, most of these online marketing platforms worked for me, but forum posting did a long-term impact on my affiliate marketing efforts. 😉

The result? My active affiliates are now growing and I am receiving fair amount of affiliate sales from time to time. And because of my initiative of growing my skills and knowledge in online marketing, I have improved each day in every way.

Learning is definitely fun!

Editing word and some graphics on PDF

I have been asked many times if I know how to edit PDF files, so I created this blog to let you know that I CERTAINLY know how to do it.

It is very e-a-s-y.

Here is a screenshot of an original e-book where I changed a link and removed a link for an important reason.

This is the original copy of an ebook.

End Card, Not So Hard!

Hiiiii!

It’s been a while. I did a great job these past few days. I was really hooked into creating end cards and doing basic video editing using Premiere Pro. Why in the world did I want to use Premiere Pro when some people I knew who were into using Sony Vegas and other editing softwares, the one thing that I could not forget from what they told me was that Adobe Premiere Pro was difficult. I still gave it a try, you know. What their difficulty might be easy for me. (Wink)

The result?

Oh yes. They were true. At first it was difficult, but the first is the hardest. Now, making transitions and working on the timeline feels easier this time. I’ll show you this end card that I created for Bo Sanchez, a well-known Catholic preacher and entrepreneur in the Philippines. Soon.

Oh I know you can’t wait. So here it is.
